Annachiara Gedda

Annachiara Gedda (Turin 1986) lives and works in Turin

She graduated cum laude at the Turin Conservatory in Composition with Giorgio Colombo Taccani and in Wind Band Arranging with Sandro Satanassi. She attended masterclasses with Luis Bacalov, Azio Corghi, Paola Livorsi and Tristan Murail.

Winner or special mention in several national and international composition competitions – among which the Tour Takemitsu Composition Award in Tokyo, the Valentino Bucchi Prize in Rome, the International Composition Competition Egidio Carella and the Kaleidoscope Orchestra Call for Scores in Los Angeles – her works have been performed in Italy and abroad (Switzerland, France, Germany, Great Britain, Spain, Finland, Bosnia-Erzegovina and Japan) during various important music festivals such as the Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival (UK), Biennale di Venezia (IT), Gmem Festival les Musiques (FR), Expo Milano 2015 (IT) by musicians such as Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra, Ensemble 10/10 (Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra), Divertimento Ensemble, Ensemble Télémaque, Ensemble TaG, FontanaMix Ensemble, Ryoko Aoki and Akiko Kozato to mention but a few.
