Music

Paolo Boggio

Paolo Boggio has won several International and National Competitions (“2012 Karol Szymanowski International Competition for Orchestra”, “Premi Internacional por Orquestra – Ciutad de Tarragona 2004”, “The 14th Ivan Spassov Symphonic orchestra composition competition”, etc). His works have been selected for important festivals (such as “Torino SettembreMusica”, “4th Portland Chamber Music Festival”) and performed by nationally and internationally renowned ensembles and orchestras (I Pomeriggi Musicali Orchestra, Turin Philarmonic Orchestra, Krakow Philarmonic Orchestra, Trio Debussy, New York North/South Ensemble).

He has also written music for theatre and film scores. Eclectic and free from the “establishment”, he composes in styles that combine intentionally outdated gestures with a feel for parody, creating a dramatic constructivism in the name of an aesthetic and ethical “Call to Order” (J. Cocteau).
